1.1 Scope:
This standard covers the requirements for non-separable, Airframe Anti-friction Needle Bearings,
intended for use in flight vehicle control systems, with radial loads.
1.2 Classification:
Bearings shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2).
Type I Bearing, Roller, Needle, Single Row, Heavy Duty, Anti-friction, Inch (MS24461 and
AS24461)
Type II Bearing, Roller, Needle, Single Row, Thin Shell, Anti-friction, Inch (MS24462)
Type III Bearing, Roller, Needle, Single Row, Heavy Duty, Self-Aligning, Anti-friction, Inch
